Industrial Maintenance Safety
This
course provides in-depth study of the health and safety practices necessary
for maintenance professionals.
Topics include: ladder safety, fire prevention, confined spaces, electrical
safety, emergency procedures, and introduction to OSHA regulations,
Right-to-Know Law (MSDS), hazardous materials safety, and machine guarding.

Incident Investigation
This
is a "how to" course for investigating, reporting, and analyzing
all types of workplace incidents. Incident Investigation training is
a fitting complement to the "OSHA Recordkeeping"
course.

Hazard Communication / Employee Right-to-Know or WHIMIS
This
course explains the requirements of OSHA's most frequently cited standard,
Hazard Communication. The course is designed to satisfy the training
requirements of the OSHA standard, including:
- Physical and health hazards;
- Specific chemical training;
- Protection and emergency procedures;
- Labeling;
- Material Safety Data Sheets.
At the customer's request, it can be presented as a workshop for those
who need the "how to's" of developing and implementing a "Right-to-Know"
program. (In Maryland, emphasis is placed on Maryland's "Access
to Information About Hazardous and Toxic Substances Act". The focus
in Canada is "WHIMIS".)

Lockout / tagout
This
combination lecture and hands-on session satisfies training requirements
of the OSHA lockout/tagout standard.

"Using Self-audits to Pin-point Problems"
Often
the best way to survive an inspection by a regulatory agency is by implementing
some type of internal inspection or auditing system. This workshop provides
guidance for implementing productive In-House audit programs. Along
with "hands on" audit exercises, the topics of corrective
action and justifying cost are explained.
The "How to Read the OSHA Standards"
course is a fitting complement to this training.

Respiratory Protection
This
combination lecture and hands-on session satisfies the training requirements
for the OSHA respiratory protection standard. The course includes qualitative
fit-testing. (Quantitative fit-testing is available when specifically
requested.)

"OSHALOG
- Software"
If
your company uses OSHALOG software to maintain injury and illness records,
this training is for you! Learn how to use the:
- OSHA Coach

Remember, effective January 1, 2002, the OSHA Recordkeeping rules change.
In addition to new forms, this law encourages the use of computers.

OSHA Recordkeeping
This
course helps those making last minute preparations to summarize and
post the OSHA Log and Summary of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses.
Lecture and practical role-playing are used to help participants understand
what should or should not be written on the log. Learn the detailed
requirements of the new 300, 300-A, and 301 recordkeeping forms. Clear
up confusion about determining which cases are medical treatment, first
aid, recordable or compensable.

"Supervising for Safety"

The course answers supervisors' questions about their safety responsibilities.
This day-long workshop includes the following topics:
- "What to Do When the Compliance Officer Arrives"
- "Supervisors as Key Men and Women"
- Liabilities and Responsibilities
- "Injury Prevention Programs"
Supervisors maneuver through the history of the safety movement until
ultimately they understand their safety roles, while serving a supervisory
function. Attendees will enjoy this program which uses a combination
of lectures and role playing exercises.

"How to Read the OSHA Standards"
This
a practical course with lots of hands-on exercises to teach you "how
to" read the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). Being able to read
and understand the OSHA standard is essential for:
- Writing internal company inspection reports.
- Understanding regulatory citations.
- Determining corrective action.
Course fees include the purchase of 29 CFR 1910 (2 volumes) and 1926
( 1 volume).

Personal Protective Equipment
The
course is a discussion of the most current changes to OSHA's Personal
Protective Equipment standard, including hazard assessment, documentation
selection and training. At a minimum, the discussion includes eye/face
protection, hats, clothing, footwear, and gloves.

Forklift Driver Training
OSHA
revised its Forklift Training Requirements. Don't risk loosing thousands
of dollars in Fines!
This training will provide first-time drivers, veteran operators, or
those needing refresher/remedial training the knowledge and skills to
safely maneuver forklift equipment. The course content satisfies OSHA's
1998 revised "Powered Industrial Truck Operator Training"
Standard.

Defensive Driving
This
is the National Safety Council's Defensive Driving Course. Trainee's
learn how to save lives, money, and time by driving defensively. Sorry,
there are no on the road exercises.
Length of Course = 6 - 8 hours according to customer's request; Cost
based on Lease Agreements (National Safety Council lease agreements
observed.)
